So it’s a been a week since I went live with my website but more like a month since it was more or less complete which is why my first blog post is dated September 14th. I was so nervous about putting my content out in the world for people to find! Turns out I didn’t need to worry because this can be a slow process of building a following. I’m working on finding my “voice“ with Instagram and hoping for not too many feet stepped on in the process! I’m getting very excited again about the possibilities and I’m so thankful to my kids, my husband and my niece for boosting my confidence in the skills and knowledge that I have to share!
I hope people discover this page and reach out to me because I’d really love to convince more women to take a leap into the bigger alphabet of sizes available to them! I didn’t know before I was hired as a fitter that there was anything beyond a DD and the idea of wearing even a D cup seemed crazy to me but here we are! Women would sometimes come in so skeptical about the process and by the time we were done with sizing the curtains on the fitting rooms would be open, customers proudly showing off their new bra like they were reborn! It makes those of us that learned the language of sizing passionate about sharing the knowledge with others. I’m working from home now but still passionate about connecting with people.
There is an often cited statistic that 80% of women are wearing the wrong size for them which is to be expected when most stores stop at a DD. Did you know that sizes go to the letter O?! Most women would be surprised to learn that a 34G is a pretty average size. Not only that but more women have a 28” rib cage than you would believe. So let’s work to bring down that number and solve some back pain issues at the same time! Wouldn’t you love it if “boob sweat” was a thing of the past?
To get started, here’s a quick and easy exercise...find a tape measure and measure your rib cage right below your breasts. If there is more than 2” between that measurement and your bra band size then we should talk about doing some bra math! Connect with me soon to find out more!
Until then, have a great week!
